“ Hidden away in the basement of Westminster Cathedral. There is always classical music playing and a peaceful atmosphere. Check out the salads hidden away at the end of the menu. I had a bacon and cranberry salad bowl. Delicious! Cash only, so you need to get to a cashpoint first. ”

It has the feeling of a traditional cafe, serving jacket potatoes, soup and cakes at very reasonable prices. Not fancy or pretentious in anyway which makes it great! - the type of cafe you find less and less of in central London. Very friendly service and relaxing atmosphere. ”

“ London is full of surprises. This is an underground cafe that is reached by a series of stairs to the right of the Cathedral's main entrance. It is not obvious that the cafe exists. I was particularly nosy and searched out the cafe which has been, I was told, serving for more than a quarter of a century. The menu offering was unpretentious, service was friendly (hallo Charlie), there's lots of space, and even classical music playing in the background. ”

They have quite an extended menu with hot soup, freshly made sandwiches, scones, salads & dessert. The sweetest, kindest staff ever! Totally worth the visit! ”

“ Decided to come here, hidden in the lower ground of the cathedral. Unfortunately they only accept cash, but the man running the cafe was extremely friendly and welcoming. Love the fact classical music is played within the cafe. Amazing hot chocolate! Will return to try the breakfast options one day. 4 stars for service as cash only, but was an amazing experience. ”
